How it Works:
Supporting participating farms and food and drink businesses to set, measure and report progress against defined sustainability targets
Origin Green is a national sustainability programme for Ireland’s food, drink and horticulture sector. Launched in 2012, Origin Green was developed as a national programme for food and drink businesses to set and report against sustainability targets. Origin Green brings participating farms, food and drink businesses, retailers and foodservice operators together through a national sustainability framework. The programme requires businesses to set measurable targets and report progress through an annual review process that is independently audited. The targets address areas such as emissions, energy, water, waste, biodiversity and raw-material sourcing employee wellbeing and community engagement.
